Medina Country Club Appoints Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional
Medina, OH (February 11, 2022) – Medina Country Club announced today the appointment of Kirby P. Manown III to Head Golf Professional and Rob Jersan to Assistant Golf Professional.
Together, they will manage golf operations, including tournaments, merchandising, staffing and member relations.
“We are thrilled to appoint Kirby and Rob to these roles at the Medina Country Club. These appointments completes our professional golf staff for this coming season.” said Bill Cosgrove, Owner of the Medina Country Club. “We look forward to leveraging both of their experience to develop a strong culture and atmosphere, with an emphasis on top-notch service.
In addition to management of golf operations, Manown and Jersan will also give private lessons through the Jim Wise Golf Academy.

Manown has over 10 years of golf industry experience. Prior to joining the Medina Country Club, he served as Assistant Golf Professional at both the Laurel Valley Golf Club and Pittsburgh Field Club.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management, with an emphasis in professional golf management and a minor in business administration, from California University of Pennsylvania. There he played on the school’s NCAA Division II golf team.
Jersan has been at the Medina Country Club for eight years, where he has served as Head Golf Professional, Food and Beverage Manager, Club Manager and Membership Director. Previously, he was Assistant Golf Professional at Hawthorne Valley Country Club in Solon for six years and has 25 years’ experience in the industry.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Ashland University and played on the golf team there.
